The Baylor Jazz Ensemble is in Greece!
After 32 Hours of either traveling, and getting settled in, we are in for the night!
We traveled from Waco to Dallas, and the to Philadelphia, and then to Athens. Then we traveled by bus to the First Evangelical Church where we met our amazing hosts. Then we checked into the hotel, and went back for lunch and a rehearsal. The pictures above show you what happens after you hold a rehearsal after 29 hours of travel!!!
Tomorrow, we will sleep late, and then get up and rehearse a bit more, followed by lunch in the Plaka District, followed by a trip to the beach and a performance at a Greek church teen camp. It's going to be a lot of fun!
The city is beautiful and the students were troopers hanging in there during the tough rehearsal!
All is good with Baylor Jazz In Greece!!!!
I will send more pictures and blog more about our adventures tomorrow!!
